The Dakota is a little bit of a mystery here around the office.  Representing the timeless aviator style from the 1950s, some say it is a wild and free spirit, named after the mid-western states that share its namesake. Known for having the most wildlife refuges of any other states, open roads, and enjoying adventures with windows down.

Some whisper it was inspired by the daughter of Don Johnson, known around here as the father of Miami's vices in the 80s: cruising the strip while listening to “In The Air Tonight” by Phil Collins.
